Hudson Valley Creative Harping Retreat
Hudson Valley Creative Harp Retreat
Thursday October 23-26, 2025 In-Person
Tempo Arts Center in the Historic Rondout neighborhood of Kingston NY
Join us for the inaugural year of the Hudson Valley Creative Harping retreat with Maeve Gilchrist. Based at Tempo Arts Center in the Historic Rondout neighborhood of Kingston NY, the weekend pairs high quality music making with the unparalleled colors of Fall in the Hudson Valley. The weekend includes an immersion in Maeve’s hallmark combination of technique, rhythm and hand-separation work as well as a repertoire workshop, ensemble/arranging class, yoga electives and a guest workshop on Saturday afternoon along with two concerts in Tempo’s stunning new performance space. In creating this weekend, Maeve wanted to create an inspiring, welcoming but challenging environment that focuses on the harp player as a musician. The curriculum is designed to touch on many facets of our music making: rhythm, harmony, texture, collaboration etc. It is open to all levels but geared particularly towards the more advanced player with the goal to leave participants inspired and ready to dig deeper into their own creative selves.
